The journey to Dallas starts

G’day,

Well we need to be up at 3:30am tommorrow (saturday morning). I need to be at christchurch airport for 5am in order to check in for my flight at 7am.

First stop is sydney, where I have a 7 hour stop over – but that’s cool as I get a chance to catch up with a friend there.

So I leave Sydney at 3:30pm local time for LA and I get to LA at 9 : 53 am local time – so somehow I manage to land before I have taken off :) I guess that’s because the flight goes across the international date line.

I’ve never been to the USA before, I just hope I get through LA customs ok – I’m sure that I will, I’ve heard that they are nice people :)

From there I catch an internal flight to Dallas, eventually getting there at 18:46 local time – so I guess that I should be ready for bed about then. I’ll need to be refreshed for the start of my course on monday morning!

I’ll keep you all posted on my progress.

Take it easy.

Martin.
